Abstract
Making yield parameters estimates based on early-stage data can be very helpful for agricultural policymaking and food security. Early yield estimation also helps in high-throughput plant phenotyping and precision agriculture. The development of UAV platforms and sensor technology also helps to collect data at a lower cost and higher spatial and temporal resolution. The objective of this study was to predict yield under the conditions of soybean lodging. Specifically, we would answer the following research questions: (1) Which time period is the most suitable for the estimation of soybean yield parameters? (2) To evaluate the fusion of different information based on RGB images to build a model using multiple machine learning algorithms at the flowering stage. (3) Effect of lodging on the number of seeds per plant and grain weight per plant.
