Description:
Every day humans encounter food choices related to agriculture, whether crop, dairy, or livestock. But do we ever think about the landscapes that bring these products to our table? This session will broadly focus on the geographies of agriculture with papers ranging from climate change and production issues, to distribution, food security, cultural differences, and minority issues. We would like to highlight multiple perspectives and approaches to the topic. Papers from all sub-disciplines of geography are welcome. We will try to accept as many papers as possible and are willing to create multiple sessions, both in-person and virtual. We are especially interested in projects that focus on unique groups or analysis lenses, such as LGBTQIA+ in agriculture, feminist theory, etc.
