Abstract
This paper works to draw out and uplift the transnational dialogue of Black Geographic thought between Brazil and the United States. I center the ABPN’s (Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores(as) Negros(as)/ Brazilian Association of Black Researchers) special journal edition entitled, “Geografias Negras”(Black Geographies) from 2020 as a site/cite of critical intervention. I attempt to locate a genealogy of Black Geographies in formation as theorists connect Afro-Diaspora theory, geographies of struggle, and Black Geographies as method through being in dialogue with the editors of this special issue.
