Abstract
The U.S. Census Bureau prepares international subnational geospatial and tabular data products for the purpose of humanitarian assistance. Publicly available geospatial, census, and survey data are used to prepare the products. The major steps in the process involve data discovery, data transformation and restructuring, and accuracy checks for quality control. This presentation will highlight the steps involved in the process and the key methods implemented to standardize geospatial and statistical data found in various formats. It will also discuss the components and structure of the subnational data products, as well as the data quality assurance and quality control measures. Finally, it will present the limitations and usefulness of the data products.
