Abstract
The environment of agriculture is one of the most crucial things, especially nowadays. Unsustainable usage of soil, an excessive amount of fertilizers, unprofessional planning, and control of sources of pollution.
Agribusiness holds a major role in the structure of Ukrainian export. As of the end of 2019, agribusiness brought almost 40% of the country’s foreign currency earnings, retaining stable levels within the last 3 years. Producing 100-120 million tonnes of grains annually, Ukraine maintains its leading position in the world. What is more, Ukraine is the 3rd largest grain exporter worldwide (annual export amounts to 50-60 million tonnes). But, because of a fragmented structure and ad hoc delivery that biased support towards large farms; limited scope for recoupment, Ukraine spends a significant amount of agricultural subsidies (US$ 250 million per year), or 0.5 percent of total State Budget expenditures, in ways that are incompatible to assist in the correction of policy failures (agric. sales moratorium) that prevented movement towards higher value-added and a more diversified agricultural sector. The main target of this work is to underline the urgency of the situation and to provide stable and reliable methods to improve the overall condition of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
