Abstract
The following systematic review focuses on male sex workers (MSWs), specifically those who perform sex with other men (MSM) for money and use the Internet for advertisement purposes. By adopting a behavioristic approach to the topic, I aim to explore these MSWs agency, motivations, and options when using the online spaces for their profession. This review aims to expand and contribute to the conversation of sex work by focusing on this understudied population of sex workers. Furthermore, by adopting such a resolution, I seek to understand MSWs' agency, purpose, and options when it comes to using virtual platforms for their profession. Although only 15 sources were employed in their totality for the present study, they provide answers for MSM-sex workers' access/use of the Internet, motivations, and safety. Additionally, it positions the notion of this technology as both a tool and place for identity de/reconstruction for the parties involved.
