Description:
2021 showed us all the climate change is happening and that its impacts are occurring in all parts of the globe. And yet, despite impacts in all parts of the globe, the health impacts of climate change are not felt equally in all places or by all people. Many places are now experiencing health impacts from extreme weather events due to climate change, but just like was shown by the COVID-19 pandemic, climate hazards are layered upon the social fabric of our world, impacting the health of populations differentially based on their underlying susceptibilities and abilities to adapt, which are firmly rooted in economic and social inequalities across race/ethnicity, class, gender, and other markers of difference.
